Meet the baker behind OneBakedBroad

Hi, I am Kim, aka OneBakedBroad.

I’ve been making treats for just about every occasion imaginable for well over 25 years—cakes, cupcakes, cookies…you name it, I’ve probably made it!

But somewhere along the way, cookies stole my heart. For the past 15 years, I’ve been pretty much obsessed with them.

And here’s the funny part…I’m not actually a big fan of baking. 😂I know, I know…probably not what you expected from a cookie lady!

What I DO love is everything else—coming up with designs, dreaming up ideas with clients, decorating those little edible canvases, and putting the finishing touches on an order. And yes, I even love packaging! There’s just something about seeing the whole thing come together that makes me ridiculously happy. I love taking an idea from a client and turning it into something they can actually hold in their hands—and eventually eat. (Although sometimes they tell me they’re “too pretty to eat.” I appreciate the compliment, but please…eat the cookie!!! Please.

It took me about three years to finally create what I consider the perfect sugar cookie recipe. (IMO, of course!) And once I got it just right, I stuck with it. It’s the recipe I’ve been using ever since.

I’m completely self-taught, I’ve had the opportunity to learn, grow, and connect with other cookie artists through many cookie retreats and conventions over the years. There’s always something new to learn, and I love the creativity that comes with this craft.

I recently took a two-and-a-half-year break—because, well, life happens. Now I’m back at it, dusting off my tools, practicing, creating, and falling in love with cookies all over again.

My hope is simple: to create something that makes your celebration a little sweeter and helps make your day cookie delicious!
